The selection of experiments follows FP7 rules.
The selection criteria are as follows:

  • Scientific and Technical Quality (concept, objectives, workplan)
  • Implementation
    • Individual participants and consortium as a whole (if applicable)
    • Allocation of resources
  • Impact
    • Contribution to expected impact as given in call text
    • Plans for dissemination

The scoring rules are as follows:

  • Each of the above criteria is marked out of 5
  • The threshold for each criterion is 3
  • The overall threshold is 10 out of 15

All proposals are evaluated by external independent experts approved by the Project Officer and contracted by the project. Experts sign confidentiality and conflict-of-interest declaration. Selected proposals will progress to a negotiation phase.
